Tunnel Boring Machine Dinghai Unveiled in Changsha

The Tunnel Boring Machinery (TBM) Dinghai, which was developed by China Railway Construction Corporation (CREC), was unveiled in Chengdu on April 15th. The machine is designed to be used for largediameter underground tunnels and has a diameter of up to 14 meters.

The Dinghai TBM features advanced technology that allows it to operate more efficiently and safely than traditional tunnel boring machines. It also boasts greater flexibility and can adapt to different types of soil conditions.

The machine's debut in Chengdu comes as the city continues to expand its subway network. Chengdu currently has three metro lines in operation, with several more under construction or planned for future development.

China has been investing heavily in its infrastructure, including highspeed rail and tunnel projects, to support its economic growth. The Dinghai TBM is just one example of the country's ongoing efforts to modernize its transportation systems.
